Children learn and develop social skills that can help them get a head start on their education. Our staff are highly qualified and experienced. They have studied at Institutes of educations or University alongside on the job experience for years. The know and understand all aspects of child development and the children will reap the benefits.
Children build relationships and make friends with other children in the service. Whilst we know that all children have friends through their family life, childcare allows them to be able to form their own friendships within their classes. They learn to make friends, keep friends and to share friends. While they play with their friends each day they keep active, healthy and happy through their world of interactions and conversations.
Parents also benefit through these friendships as many become friends outside of the services and are able to support you through important times in the early years.
What do I need to bring with me to childcare?
Chatterbox Childcare caters for all your child’s needs which include breakfast, morning snack, dinner, afternoon snack and tea. We supply cots, resting beds and bedding. Parents are asked to supply made up bottles for those still on breast milk or formula, nappies, creams and spare clothing. If your child uses a grow bag we ask for you to send one in for their nap time. If your child has a particular comfort toy please pop it into their bag.
What is the NCS Scheme?
All children are entitled to the subsidies provided by the National Childcare Scheme (NCS). You can apply on line and you will be provided with a CHICK number. You need to provide this as soon as possible as no NCS discounts are applied until this has been uploaded into the NCS system. The subsidy amounts are based on household income, however, there is a minimum that all families are entitled too. We would encourage all families to apply for this as it can provide a substantial discount even at the minimum rate. For mor information please see www.ncs.gov.ie
Are their any other discounts?
We do operate a sibling discount policy. The first child is offered 10% discount and each subsequent child is offered a 5% discount. All discounts are applied after the NCS discount has been applied.
We do provide sponsored places. Please get in touch with your local social welfare office for more information on this.
What is the deposit policy?
A month’s deposit (alongside all other enrolment paperwork) is required to be placed on to the waiting list. This deposit is non-refundable if we cannot offer you a place by your required date. Should we not be able to provide this place your deposit will be returned less €100 administration fee. However, should you decide that you no longer want the place then the deposit is non-refundable. Deposits are non-transferable to other families. Our fee policy is in line all the majority of Early Childcare Centres in Ireland.
